The HR Generalist serves as a frontline thought partner to anticipate human resources related needs and help deliver value-added services in helping fulfill the mission, goals and strategic priorities of the university Responsible for consulting and advising client groups on the full spectrum of HR, including but not limited to HR policies and procedures, employee relations, engagement, onboarding, retention, management and staff development, performance management and coaching, compliance and service delivery using best practices and knowledge of applicable federal and state laws along with university regulations and policies. With support from Creighton's Human Resources Team, the HR Generalist will facilitate matters related to recruitment, onboarding, payroll, compensation, benefits, performance management, learning and development and collaborate with the HR service team members to resolve complex issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field of study
- At least (4) four years human resources generalist experience with strong knowledge of employee relations and organizational change.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Experienced in partnering with management, leadership, and employees to provide HR solutions, strategies, and tactics to solve human capital issues.
- Solid working knowledge of state & federal employment regulations and related human resources compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Licenses/Certifications
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
