Commercial Fire Alarm Superintendent

Founded in 1984, Firetrol is the national leader in fire protection & life safety services. We are currently seeking a Field Superintendent to join our team of over 1,200 of the best fire protection professionals in the industry in our Houston, TX location.

* Lead fire alarm installations from start to finish, ensuring compliance with all project specifications and code requirements.

* Supervise and coordinate field team, subcontractors, and site activities related to fire alarm systems.

* Conduct daily jobsite inspections to ensure safety, quality workmanship, and schedule adherence.

* Interpret electrical and fire alarm drawings and delegate tasks accordingly.

* Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and general contractors to address design or installation issues.

* Ensure timely procurement of fire alarm materials and equipment in coordination with Project Manager and warehouse.

* Support inspections, testing, and commissioning with AHJs and third-party agencies.

* Train, mentor, and develop foreman and helpers.

* Document field progress, change orders, and labor tracking through daily reports and project logs

* Maintain tracking of all tools and material on site.

* 5+ years of experience installing and programming fire alarm systems

* Strong troubleshooting knowledge

* Experience installing and programming Notifer systems preferred

* Knowledge of NFPA 72 and local fire alarm codes

* Ability to oversee large scale complex projects

* Texas FAL

* OSHA 30 and other safety certifications are a plus

* NICET Level II or higher preferred but not required

* Must be able obtain Texas Security License
