Symetra has a superb opportunity to join our team as a Technical Program Manager! About the role The Technical Program Manager is accountable for the planning and execution of medium-complexity technical programs that span technical teams and domains. As a TPM, you will work closely with Product Owner, Engineering team and other stakeholders to coordinate the delivery across cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases and reliable production performance, including active involvement in testing, production support, and on-call issues resolution. You will ensure that all non-functional requirements (such as reliability, scalability, security, etc.) are documented, incorporated into plans, tracked, and executed appropriately. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background, excellent program management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams toward common business goals. What you'll do Serve as a point of contact for production issues, ensuring timely triage and resolution. Collaborate with support and engineering teams to investigate root causes and implement fixes. Participate in functional, regression, and UAT testing to ensure product quality. Support automation initiatives and continuous integration efforts. Manage end-to-end planning and execution of complex, cross-functional technical programs, from initial concept through delivery. Monitor program health, identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement corrective actions as needed. Work with teams to clarify goals and deliverables, bring data to planning and prioritization. Identify and manage cross-team dependencies, facilitating alignment and ensuring seamless integration of deliverables. Coordinate post-launch activities, including monitoring adoption, collecting feedback, and driving follow-up actions to enhance outcomes. Check out our Symetra Benefits Overview Compensation Salary Range: $113,700 - $189,400 plus eligibility for annual bonus program Who you are Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. Equivalent work experience may be accepted. Proficiency equivalent to at least 5+ years of information systems experience. Preferred experience in the life insurance domain. Strong technical background, with knowledge of software development, and/or relevant technical domains. Proficiency with project management methodologies and tools Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions in complex environments.
