The Director of Business Programs is a leadership position responsible for managing and overseeing the coordination and execution of business program activities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. This role will involve managing and cross-training two Business Program Coordinators and ensuring the alignment of all programmatic efforts with the goals of the Business School, particularly focusing on student recruitment, retention, and the creation of a strong sense of community through our "Byway to Belonging" process. The Director will work closely with the two Associate Deans (Undergraduate and Graduate) to ensure smooth operations, exceptional service, and innovative programming. Relationship management with all stakeholders will be the key to success with this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • (25%) Leadership & Management:

Oversee the two Business Program Coordinators, ensuring they are effectively
executing their duties and meeting KPIs. Serve as the point of contact for
associate deans to align goals, challenges, and strategies.

  • (25%) Sales & Relationship Management:

Lead efforts to convert leads into enrollments at both the undergraduate and
graduate levels through the "Byway to Belonging" process. Build and maintain
strong relationships with prospective students, current students, senior
administrators, program managers, and department chairs.

  • (10%) Community Building & Engagement:

Foster a sense of belonging within the student community, both on and off-
campus. Ensure that events, activities, and programming promote a positive and inclusive environment.

  • (15%) Event Planning & Recruitment:

Coordinate and participate in events designed to recruit new students and retain current ones, including hosting prospective students and their families,
organizing recruiting meetings, and facilitating ongoing community-building
events for students.

  • (5%)Course Scheduling & Administrative Support:

Support course scheduling, catalog review, registration, and other administrative
duties. Work collaboratively with department chairs, program managers, and
faculty to ensure smooth academic operations.

  • (5%) KPIs & Performance Evaluation:

Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) for both undergraduate
and graduate programs, including lead-to-enrollment conversion rates, event
impact, and overall community development.

  • (5%) Cross-Training & Coordination:

Ensure cross-training of staff and coordinate efforts with the international
business group to support all program functions, including international student
needs and global initiatives.

  • (5%) Budget Management:

Manage event and program-related budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources
and alignment with departmental goals.

  • (5%) Outbound Engagement & Stakeholder Relations:

Actively engage with department chairs, program directors, and other key
stakeholders both on-campus and off-campus. This may include travel for in-
person meetings, networking, and events.

  • All other duties assigned, which will grow as learning by doing and productivity growth generates additional capacity.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree required.

  • Proven experience in program management, higher education administration, or a related field.

  • Strong leadership, management, and team coordination skills.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, with the ability to work across various internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and responsibilities simultaneously.

  • High adaptability and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on creating innovative solutions.

  • Budget management experience and financial awareness.

  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to support students and events.
