Job Overview
The Senior Audit Management Analyst provides expert support to USAID's Office of Finance by managing the Agency's Audit Management and Follow-up Program. The incumbent serves as the primary liaison with oversight bodies such as the Office of Inspector General (OIG), Government Accountability Office (GAO), and the Department of the Treasury. The position ensures compliance with audit policy, tracks and reconciles corrective actions, and prepares USAID responses to audit findings. This position is remote-eligible (U.S.-based). Work Model: Remote
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Manage USAID's Audit Management and Follow-up Program in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.
- Serve as focal point with OIG, GAO, Treasury, and other external oversight bodies.
- Interpret and prepare formal responses to audit reports and recommendations.
- Analyze, reconcile, and validate audit data from CACS and other Agency systems.
- Track, monitor, and report on corrective action implementation across Missions and Bureaus.
- Advise leadership on systemic issues and risks related to audit follow-up and compliance.
- Support the development and dissemination of audit-related policy, SOPs, and guidance materials.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely closure of audit recommendations.
- Prepare reports, briefings, and other documentation to inform senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Accountable For:
- Ability to deliver timely, accurate, and professional audit management services in support of USAID requirements.
- Ability to ensure strict compliance with USAID, federal, and organizational audit policies and procedures.
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintaining timely submission of audit responses and closure actions.
- Applying sound professional judgment in the interpretation and communication of audit recommendations.
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with USAID stakeholders and oversight bodies.
- Upholding the values and reputation of Chugach Dynamic Solutions through integrity and professionalism.
- Analyze complex audit reports and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats with diverse stakeholders.
- Work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate across teams and organizations to achieve compliance and closure of audit issues.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Specialized experience in audit management, compliance, or oversight.
- Experience managing USAID audit processes at Missions or Washington Bureaus.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- USAID audit management policies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Federal audit standards and oversight processes (OIG, GAO, Treasury).
- Audit tracking and reporting systems, including CACS and related USAID platforms.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test
Preferred:
- Graduate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related discipline.
- Prior experience with international development programs or USAID implementing partners.
- Additional certifications in auditing or compliance (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA).
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a normal office environment and may be conducted remotely. Duties require extended periods of sitting, extensive use of computers and office equipment, and participation in virtual and in-person meetings. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required to support meetings, audits, or program reviews.
