Overview

The Manager Cargo Data is responsible for serving the company in ensuring compliance with domestic and international data transmission regulations. The Manager is required to interact with domestic and international governmental agencies as well as to maintain effective and efficient policies and procedures for the data transmission, customs clearance and transfers between customers, vendors and employees to ensure regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction. Finally, the Manager is responsible to perform tasks as assigned by the Director Regulated Cargo Programs.



Responsibilities

    Oversee daily operations of the Customs Support Group.
  • Ensure high-quality, accurate data across cargo handling and customs-related systems.
  • Manage and monitor timely and accurate data transmissions from vendors.
  • Assess training needs and coordinate system training for vendors and internal staff.
  • Conduct audits on sensitive commodities and prepare detailed reports.
  • Ensure company compliance with customs agencies worldwide, coordinating with Regional Managers on evolving regulations.
  • Troubleshoot system errors and provide timely resolution.
  • Investigate customs-related issues, including fines, penalties, and violations; implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Security, and SRC teams on customs compliance concerns.
  • Recommend corrective measures to align practices with internal and external policies.
  • Maintain data collection tools and manage cargo data repositories.
  • Administer the CBP ACE and CME processes.
  • Engage with domestic and international entities regarding data transmission compliance.
  • Represent the company in training seminars and regulatory conferences to stay informed of changing aviation regulations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in international Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in customs compliance, international trade, or cargo operations.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) procedures and systems (ACE, CME).
  • Experience working with cargo data systems and vendor management.
  • Certification in Customs Compliance or similar (e.g., CCS, CUSECO) preferred. In depth knowledge of Cargo Spot/Champ systems, cargo IMP/XML messaging and US Customs A.M.S./ACE.

  • Proficiency in cargo handling systems and data transmission tools.

Salary Range: $73,000-$98,500
