Job Description - Program Coordinator I, II, III - Customer Energy Optimization

Position Description

The Program Coordinator I, II and III will provide program management support for the programs and initiatives associated with the Customer Energy Optimization team. This includes Energy Efficiency Demand Response and Electrification programs offered by Tucson Electric Power ("TEP"), UniSource Electric ("UNSE"), and UniSource Gas ("UNSG"). This position will work closely with Program Managers, Supervisors, Manager and other stakeholders to ensure smooth program operations by providing comprehensive program support, managing administrative tasks, coordinating activities, and executing on certain programs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about sustainability and energy innovation.

Position-Related Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to Program Managers and Supervisors.
  • Track program milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including Regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Maintain and update program databases, dashboards, and tracking tools.
  • Support procurement processes, including drafting scopes of work, tracking contracts, and processing invoices.
  • Prepare or assist with preparation of monthly reports and semi-annual reports such as SOX reports and internal management reports related to programs.
  • Prepare or assist with preparation of program forms, documents, applications, web-site content, etc. required in programs.
  • Support quality assurance and compliance efforts by maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Assist with financial reconciliation and reporting.
  • Help manage customer inquiries and ensure timely resolution or escalation.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of program materials, including marketing collateral and training resources.
  • Prepare or assist with preparation of educational events for trade allies and contractors for programs.
  • Prepare or assist with preparation of customer surveys, marketing and advertising and special events.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of program materials, including marketing collateral and training resources.
  • Represent the Company at trade shows, conventions and similar events. Assists in the development of special events to promote the Company to the community.
  • Attend meetings with trade allies, equipment distributors, building associations and civic organizations to promote and educate the benefits of the programs and develop close partnerships with these parties.
  • Provide input for existing program modifications and assist with new program design and implementation
  • Maintain program contracts and Purchase Orders as necessary.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process inefficiencies and recommending solutions.
  • Report to Supervisor, Director, or Program Manager on status of activities.
  • This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
(Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.)
Coordinator I:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • 0-2 years of experience in administrative, program support, or coordination roles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PC computer skills & applications including spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.
  • Must work effectively in a team and possess the ability to work independently.
  • Must manage individual projects with minimal guidance or supervision.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, public speaking, strong presentation and interpersonal skills are required.

Preferred:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting procurement and contract processes.

Coordinator II:

  • Associate's degree in a related field, and two years' experience as a program coordinator or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PC computer skills & applications including spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.
  • Must work effectively in a team and possess the ability to work independently.
  • Must manage individual projects with minimal guidance or supervision.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, public speaking, strong presentation and interpersonal skills are required.

Coordinator III:

  • Associate's degree in business or related field, and two years as an Energy Efficiency Coordinator II or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PC computer skills & applications including spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.
  • Must work effectively in a team and possess the ability to work independently.
  • Must manage individual projects with minimal guidance or supervision.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, public speaking, strong presentation and interpersonal skills are required.

Pay Rate: Salary determined based on candidates experience and qualifications.
