Overview Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington. The Office of Community Outreach & Engagement (OCOE) is an integral component of the Consortium. It is housed at Fred Hutch in Seattle with field offices in Sunnyside and Spokane. The mission of the OCOE is to reduce cancer health disparities throughout the cancer care and research continuum by promoting relevant collaborative research and programs. The OCOE uses a qualitative and quantitative data-driven approach to identify our region's greatest needs and strategic research aims to address those needs, which are prioritized and implemented in partnership with our regional Community Action Boards and our Internal Advisory Council of leaders and faculty from throughout the Consortium. The OCOE is seeking a Project Coordinator II who shares our mission to address cancer health disparities by using bidirectional community-engaged approaches in outreach, programming, and research. The position is based at the Fred Hutch office in Seattle with the Indigenous Cancer Health Excellence Initiative (ICHE-i). The Project Coordinator II for ICHE-i will coordinate administrative, research, and programmatic tasks in support of the ICHE-i's programmatic objectives and the U19 CANOE Partnership specific aims. The Project Coordinator II plays a key role in advancing the work of the OCOE's ICHE-i team by leading coordination of complex projects, managing multiple community partnerships, and ensuring accountability for deliverables across multiple initiatives. Responsibilities include developing and monitoring project timelines, coordinating strategic communications, leading event planning and implementation, and supporting research and community-based projects. This role requires experience working with Tribes and/or urban Indian communities, and Tribal organizations with demonstrated knowledge of Tribal Sovereignty, governance, and community norms. The Project Coordinator II is expected to exercise independent judgement, anticipate and resolve barriers, and represent ICHE-i with internal and external partners at multiple levels. Candidates must include a cover letter as part of their application to be considered. Responsibilities Scope of Responsibilities: The Project Coordinator II reports to the ICHE-i Project Manager. Works with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment in daily responsibilities, proactively identifying challenges, and recommending solutions to ensure project goals and deliverables are met. The Project Coordinator II's primary responsibility is to facilitate and coordinate interactions with individuals and groups to support the ICHE-i in its inreach and outreach activities within the Washington State catchment area. The Project Coordinator II will support outreach implementation plans, assist in monitoring progress, communicate effectively with the ICHE-i team when roadblocks exist, assist in developing proposed solutions, and conduct daily operational work to ensure that the overall project goals and deliverables are met. The Project Coordinator II is also expected to contribute to the ongoing improvement of ICHE-i systems and processes, strengthening the team's long-term capacity to engage with Tribal partners and advance efforts to address cancer health disparities. Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to produce high-quality work within a collaborative team are critical to this position. The Project Coordinator II will perform some or all the job duties listed below. Essential Duties 1. Project Coordination (45%)
Facilitate communications with the ICHE-i team, serving as ICHE-i liaison to Fred Hutch departments, external vendors, Cancer Consortium departments and outside collaborators.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $34.40 to $51.60 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
