Lead the technical vision and execution for HVDC plant and civil design projects. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems. Interpret customer specifications and drive strategic design decisions. Oversee layout planning, auxiliary power systems, and civil infrastructure. Represent the Plants team in internal and external stakeholder meetings. Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure quality and process adherence across all engineering deliverables. Mentor and support team members to foster growth and innovation. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering. At least 5 years of experience in energy, HVDC, substations, or offshore wind projects. Strong understanding of electromechanical and civil design for large-scale systems. Experience with site work, installation, or commissioning is a plus. Excellent communication skills and fluency in English. Proven ability to lead, make decisions, and manage technical scope. Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
