Position Title: Down Stream Technician
Wage: $18.00/hour Shift: 2nd or 3rd Hours: 3:00pm - 11:30pm or 11:00pm - 7:30am (Monday - Friday, Mandatory Saturday) QPS Employment Group is hiring multiple Down Stream Technicians for a manufacturing company in Eagle Grove, IA. This is a temporary opportunity to help cover employee vacations and leave. It is expected to last about 6 weeks. Down Stream Technician Responsibilities: - Embrace and follow a culture of safety - Ensure product quality through final visual inspections and labeling of finished goods - Track production quantities to maintain efficiency - Package pipe according to standard operating procedures - Assist with tooling changes, line start-ups, shutdowns, and equipment set-up - Learn and apply pipe specifications and packaging requirements - Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain facility housekeeping - Consistently use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements for Down Stream Technician: - Previous industrial or manufacturing experience preferred - Self-motivated and able to work independently - Energetic and thrives in a fast-paced environment - Dependable and team-oriented - Willingness to learn new skills - Basic math skills - Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods in varying temperatures - Full range of body motion, including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting and mounting/dismounting equipment - Ability to stand and be mobile throughout an 8-12 hour shift - Ability to use hands, arms, and legs to handle and transport finished goods marshalltown@qpsemployment.com IND097 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
