Job Summary
We're looking for a proactive and solutions-drivenQuality Engineerto support a high-impact work transfer initiative at our new Garden Grove facility. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver zero-defect processes, support first article completions, and ensure robust product quality from development through production. Job Responsibilities
Quality Engineering Focus
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Program Quality Plans
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions using Zero Defect Manufacturing (ZDM) tools
- Conduct internal, product, and supplier audits to ensure compliance and drive improvement
- Interpret customer quality flowdowns and translate them into actionable inspection and validation plans
- Support first article inspections (AS9102) and new product introduction activities
General Responsibilities
- Champion a safety-first mindset and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
- Provide technical solutions to complex quality challenges across internal teams and suppliers
- Support manufacturing process development and integration for production readiness
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality initiatives
- Represent the company in customer and supplier meetings as a technical quality expert
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace quality manufacturing or similar industries
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T, MRB/nonconforming parts, and engineering drawings/specifications
- Proficiency in MS Office, Minitab, and other quality tools
- Experience facilitating AS9102 first article inspections in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000 quality system models
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- U.S. Person status per ITAR regulations
- Willingness to work weekends and travel occasionally (<5%)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AS9145 APQP, NPI, and work transfer projects
- FAA Repair Station (Part 145) experience and failure analysis leadership
- Experience facilitating AS9102 first article inspections in a manufacturing environment
- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent problem-solving certification
- Ability to coach and train cross-functional teams on quality requirements
- Strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Experience contributing to project planning and continuous professional development
Compensation Data
