Department Information
The Enterprise Innovation Institute is Georgia Tech's economic development arm, comprised of more than a dozen programs. It's the largest and most comprehensive university-based program of its kind in the United States. Its core focus areas include entrepreneurship and startup development, business and industry growth, ecosystem development, and international outreach.

Job Summary

Coordinate initial outreach to qualify new client firms into campus unit program(s). Discover needs of prospective clients that have an interest in campus unit program(s). This position will interact on a regular basis with: client company management, senior management, and government agency representatives. This position typically will advise and counsel: client company management. This position will supervise: NA

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Perform outreach to potential client firms and referral sources via direct mail, e-outreach, and personal presentations.

Job Duty 2 -
Lead market research efforts to identify potential clients and stay abreast of industry trends and government policies.

Job Duty 3 -
Determine initial/continued client eligibility for program based on specific program requirements.

Job Duty 4 -
Develop client trust to secure classified or confidential company information to satisfy program requirements.

Job Duty 5 -
File program eligibility documents, track petition progress through the approval process, and offer corrective action as appropriate to transition potential clients to qualified clients.

Job Duty 6 -
Prepare metrics and reports to track and recommend areas of improvement.

Job Duty 7 -
Maintain applicable database with relevant information.

Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Finance or a related Business field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Three to four years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's of Business Administration (MBA)

Preferred Experience
Four to five years of job related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires a thorough understanding of the unit's program legislation; advanced knowledge of each client's applicable reports; a full understanding of the firms product lines, production process, employment practices, and exporting/importing activities; a high degree of customer orientation and relationship-building skills; a working knowledge of research and analysis.

Other Information

The working title of this position will be the PIN Alumni & Community Engagement Coordinator. This new hire and newly created role will join the newly created Emerging Innovator team within the Partnership for Innovation (PIN), which includes the Workforce Development Pillar and the Student Engagement Pillar. This is a crucial role that reports directly to the PIN Growth & Business Development Manager. The position is responsible for executing engagement strategies, managing communications, and providing essential administrative support to showcase the program's impact. A key function of this role is to drive the conversion of program alumni into active participants, serving as mentors and project leaders for the PIN Fellowship and Internship programs.

In this position, a vital part of the team, this role will ensure alumni feel connected and that the programs success is effectively communicated to a wider audience. This will involve a hands-on approach to building and maintaining relationships within the program's community, coordinating events, and managing the alumni communication network. The role also includes managing all program marketing, social media, and website content, with a focus on sharing success stories from fellows and alumni.
