The Director, Operations & Quality for Chromalloy Material Solutions is a strategic leader responsible for the integrated oversight of material flow, inventory management, warehousing, and quality systems across the site. This role ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and product integrity throughout the supply chain, supporting high-stakes programs with precision, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute a comprehensive strategy for material solutions, warehouse operations, and quality assurance that aligns with corporate objectives and supports program delivery.
Lead transformation initiatives to modernize operations, enhance agility, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
Material Solutions & Logistics
Oversee end-to-end material management including procurement logistics, inventory control, material planning, and distribution.
Ensure timely and accurate material availability to support production schedules and customer commitments.
Warehouse Operations
Direct warehouse activities across multiple sites, including receiving, storage, kitting, and shipping.
Optimize warehouse layout, automation, and space utilization to improve throughput and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with aviation regulations (e.g., ITAR, AS9100) and safety standards (e.g., OSHA).
Quality Assurance
Lead the enterprise-wide quality assurance function, ensuring robust systems for inspection, testing, and compliance.
Maintain and improve quality management systems (QMS) in alignment with industry standards and customer requirements.
Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Leadership & Culture
Manage a diverse team of managers, supervisors, and technical experts across operations and quality.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
Champion employee development, engagement, and succession planning.
Technology & Data Integration
Leverage ERP, WMS, and QMS platforms to improve visibility, traceability, and decision-making.
Utilize data analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive proactive improvements.
Financial & Risk Management
Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and strategic investments.
Identify and mitigate risks related to material flow, product quality, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred)
12+ years of progressive leadership experience in aviation or advanced manufacturing
Proven expertise in material management, warehouse operations, and quality assurance
Strong knowledge of aviation industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ITAR, ISO 9001)
Demonstrated success in leading large teams and driving operational transformation
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience with ERP, WMS, and QMS platforms
