Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Summary: This position reports to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor and works under direct supervision by learning and applying their skills to repair and maintain machinery, facility, and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, small-engine vehicles, forklifts, production machines, and equipment by performing the following duties. This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate range from $28.00 - $33.00 Trident Seafoods offers a comprehensive and quality benefits package. Work environment (includes travel/on-call): While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must also be able to work 13 hour shifts regularly with occasional extended shifts not to exceed 18 hours. Mental demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to understand English, and utilize teamwork skills. The employee is frequently required to speak English and use decision making skills. The employee is occasionally required to use interpersonal, customer service, mentoring, problem analysis, training, and supervision skills.
