The Pipeline Engineer III/Sr responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Serve as the primary lead for post-construction permit compliance on midstream pipeline projects.
  • Oversee and perform regulatory inspections, including weekly and post-rainfall assessments, to ensure ongoing environmental and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage the development and execution of project punch lists by coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and third-party service providers.
  • Lead the planning and field execution of slide repairs and slope stability mitigation, ensuring safety and environmental standards are met.
  • Oversee general reclamation activities, verifying work quality and alignment with permit requirements and restoration plans.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive Notice of Termination (NOT) packages in accordance with federal and state regulatory frameworks.
  • Track and manage project budgets, including forecasting, cost tracking, and variance reporting for compliance and field activities.
  • Provide oversight of field contractors performing compliance, repair, and restoration work; ensure adherence to safety, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Environmental, Regulatory, Construction, and Land teams to align field activities with overall project goals.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, corrective actions, and compliance progress throughout the closeout lifecycle.



Required Experience and Skills:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in midstream pipeline project management, field engineering, or environmental compliance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory inspection protocols and environmental permit conditions (e.g., SWPPP, NPDES, E&S).
  • Experience managing field contractors and resolving construction and compliance issues in real-time.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with an ability to coordinate across multiple teams and disciplines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and field documentation tools.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel regularly to field locations.



Preferred Experience and Skills:



  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Familiarity with EQT legacy systems or Appalachian basin operations.
  • Experience working with third-party inspection firms and environmental service providers.
  • Knowledge of GIS tools and inspection management platforms.



Work Location:

This position is based in the Canonsburg, PA area and follows a hybrid work model, combining in-office collaboration, remote flexibility, and regular field site visits in our operating area.


Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
