Tank Tigers, an STS Aviation Group Company, is hiring entry-level Aircraft Fuel Cell Technicians (Class C) in Melbourne, Florida. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals with 0-2 years of aviation fuel maintenance experience who are eager to learn and grow in the industry.


Position Summary

The Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician (Class C) is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and alteration tasks related to aircraft fuel systems in accordance with approved maintenance data. This is an entry-level position reporting to the Facility Supervisor and/or Facility Manager at the company's Repair Station. Class C Technicians are not assigned management, supervisory, or inspection duties and do not have authorization to approve articles for return to service.


Duties

  • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with the applicable maintenance manual
  • Ensure all maintenance operations are performed in the correct sequence and meet customer requirements
  • Use only calibrated, current, and properly labeled test equipment or tools for airworthiness determinations
  • Request stock as needed for maintenance tasks
  • Accurately record work performed on the appropriate maintenance record and complete all required documentation
  • Maintain work area in a clean, organized, and safe manner
  • Remain knowledgeable of applicable FAR Part 145 and 43 regulations
  • Stay familiar with the Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, and applicable revisions
  • Record On-the-Job Training (OJT) for assigned tasks
  • Immediately report unsafe procedures, practices, or conditions to supervision
  • Adapt to a flexible work schedule and perform duties in confined spaces as required

Required Skills

  • Ability to comprehend and perform fuel system aircraft maintenance with proper training
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail

Required Experience

  • 0-2 years of experience in aviation fuel maintenance preferred
  • Mechanical experience strongly preferred
