Provide retention and follow-up to Workforce program participants by working with employed customers to provide on-going employment stabilization services. Job Description
- Maintains regular contact with all customers on a monthly basis for 12 months after customer successfully completes and exits program due to employment to assess employment status and job satisfaction, and identifies potential problems that could be remedied with supportive services and/or career counseling.
- Monitors customer progress and/or regress to provide appropriate follow up services with the overall goal of job placement.
- Directly follows up with training providers and employers to obtain educational credentials/measurable skills gains and job placement information.
- Locates, Creates, and/or Runs reports (Retention, Earnings, Credential, and Entered Employment) to track progression or regression.
- Navigates through the TWC mainframe to locate client wages as needed.
- Identifies training opportunities for job placed individuals that will enable them to move into new positions within their existing employment.
- Assists customers in developing networking skills and provides referrals to other community resources as needed.
- Document all follow-up services, contacts, and outcomes (e.g., employment, educational) accurately and timely in WorkInTexas database
- Performs performance outreach activities to address the overall needs of WIOA.
- Researches the number of customer exits by screening the data through WorkInTexas reports and updating performance data analysis with business access and occupational/vocational training certificate of completion.
- Prepare reports on follow-up engagement and outcomes for leadership and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum High School graduate or GED recipient. Prefer Associates Degree or equivalent certificate in Business or Human Resource work from an accredited university or college. Will consider minimum of four (4) years equivalent work experience in related field in lieu of Associates Degree or equivalent certificate.
- Understanding of daily workforce center operations required.
- Knowledge and experience in interviewing and employment counseling preferred.
- Skill in solving employment-related problems preferred.
- General knowledge of public employment and training programs required.
- Understanding and awareness of the needs of disadvantaged individuals and other persons who face barriers to employment required.
- Understanding of techniques for developing jobs in the public and private sectors preferred.
- Ability to understand yearly business quarters as it relates to retention and how it can be obtained.
- Working knowledge of workforce center programs (WIOA, TANF, NCP, SNAP).
- Ability to navigate through computer programs to enter required information (Micro Office, TWIST, TWC Mainframe, and WIT).
- Ability to interact with team members, sharing responsibility to accomplish common goals and objectives.
- Ability to keep accurate statistical records required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. The position is primarily Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm, with some weekends. Hourly rate is: $24.13.
