What You'll Do



Summary/Objective:

Responsible for developing, executing and managing test plans for multiple applications. Ensure that all internal and external applications meet the end users requirements, respond to user inputs in a timely fashion and have efficent, logically constructed workflows. Perform, document and track a variety of testing including functional testing, regressing testing, load testing and user acceptance testing. Test code from various user perspectives, both manually and with automated tools. Collaborate with Development, Project Management and Business Analyst Teams to understand member usage, develop test plans for features, track bugs and support the technical testing, implementation and support of our applications. Provide detailed testing estimates for business plan initiatives and ensure these estimates are tracked accurately in order to meet critical project milestones. In addition, this position is expected to train, advise, and mentor other members of the team.

  • Assist in planning, designing and executing quality assurance testing within the Credit Union, including the care and maintenance of a test script library.
  • Track defects through the entire defect lifecycle and work with business owners to triage bugs and update the bug backlog. Collaborate with the development team on bug fix reviews, verification and validation.
  • Perform a variety of testing including functional testing, regressing testing, load testing and user acceptance testing both manually and with automated tools.
  • Identify new strategies, efficiencies and standards to streamline and improve the quality assurance process.
  • Advise and train other members of the team. Provide feedback to immediate supervisor on the progress of training efforts.
  • Evaluate and support the automation of products, systems and processes following established standards.
  • Document and report the status of testing results and quality assurance plans. Offer observations or improvements after analysis of test results and overall product quality.
  • Adherence to policies, procedures and documentation standards.
  • Communicate status updates to immediate supervisor on a regular basis throughout the work day. Provide status updates as required in project, team, one-on-one and weekly meetings.
  • Schedule and attend meetings and conference calls as required.
  • Effectively break down work into manageable tasks that can included and tracked in an agile framework methodology. Ensure assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Manager(s).



What You'll Need




  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field
  • Minimum of 1-4 years of experience with quality assurance in a technical setting
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of the software development lifecycle
  • Automation testing experience against Selenium C#
  • Knowledge of libraries and testing frameworks
  • Familiarity API testing and microservice testing patterns
  • Experience in web-based application testing including cross-browser and mobile device compatibility
  • Experience working in an agile based environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
