This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of experts, you will oversee a portfolio of projects to drive the evolution of manufacturing Space Flight Systems with the intention of developing the art of the possible and re-establishing the new standard as we build our Road to Space. You will lead and share in the team's impact on all aspects of developing the next Lunar Lander at our Lunar Permanence Facilities at our Cape Canaveral and Rocket Park Complex in Merrit Island, Fl.

We are in search of an experienced Project Manager to support the evolution of our manufacturing systems at our Lunar Permanence Facilities. This individual will support the Manufacturing Leadership team in the deployment of Projects and coordinate with cross functional owners to successfully deploy Blue's Operations strategy to ensure the successful transition of our Lunar Lander vehicle manufacturing from development to the achievement of production. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. The Lunar Operations Site Integrator is responsible for the successful integration of the Lunar facilities into the bigger Blue Origin Operations site leadership, to best leverage tools and process across various manufacturing teams to accelerate Lunar Manufacturing Operations transformation. This will including leading multiple projects which support the deployment of Blue's Operation Strategy. This role will be responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of projects to ensure all Lunar Permanence facilities are able to conduct safe and effective operations. This role will interface with Executive leaders across Lunar Operations team as well as have key opportunities to get down and in with the teams. Communicating effectively at all levels will be crucial. This role will be responsible for multi-year facility strategy development to ensure the success of Lunar Permanence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Manage Facility Operations at Lunar Manufacturing facilities
  • Aid the Operations team in facilitating effective decision-making on complicated scenarios that will have a major effect on the organization.
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Risk Management, and Operations leadership to improve responses for facilities related risk mitigation including hurricane response plan, protections for flight hardware, and facilities impacts for equipment install, hardware and equipment relocation, and hardware transport.
  • Collaboratively responsible for effective, efficient, focused, and adaptive decision-making in a high-velocity, intense aerospace environment.
  • Ensure information is appropriately gathered, organized, rendered, and presented to maximize decision speed; ensure decisions are executed as intended; manage the capture, assignment, tracking, implementation, and institutionalization of actions.
  • Maintain and manage strategic and tactical topical priorities; act as integrator connecting work streams that would otherwise remain siloed; manage the communication cadence and collaboratively develop content with the Operations VP and Rocket Park Leadership Team
  • Lead change management activities for site facilities to evaluate, coordinate, and approve new requirements or changes

Foundational Skills and Experience:

  • High judgment with high discretion: ability to be exposed to sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Well-developed project-management skills: organized and focused, showing attention to detail, and following up consistently to ensure results
  • Excellent attention to details; will manage both tactical and strategic-level information and manage all details. Excellent organization skills are a must.
  • Excellent "people skills" including ability to influence by persuasion without direct authority;
  • Facilities management experience interacting with various systems and functions savvy, including an understanding of the marketplace, competitors, and technology and what is required for sustained operating results
  • Communication skills to collaborate with the VP and business leadership team to communicate critical facilities integration milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preference toward Engineering Disciplines
  • 8 years of relevant program management/operational experience
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, data
  • Ability to balance technical, business, and organizational influences
  • Demonstrated history of independent work, foreseeing problems, delivering on commitments, and accountability

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
