Overview

Milton CAT is looking for entrepreneurial independent-minded sales leaders to effectively "run their own business" and join our rapidly growing team. The exclusive dealer of Caterpillar equipment in the Northeast, Milton CAT is one of the largest Caterpillar dealerships in the world and the "big kid's sandbox" for the most recognizable construction equipment on the planet.

We are looking to invest in and develop the right candidate to drive business. This field position involves being on the road every day, meeting with Municipal/County Selectman/Board Members/Highway Superintendents and other governmental contacts and executing "business conversations" on critical issues and closing business with valued customers and prospects.

Territory: Rochester/Batavia Markets

Starting Compensation Range: $70,000-$100,000 base plus commission structure based on performance. Outside Sales Representatives typically earn within the stated range for year one, but typically have unlimited earning potential each year.

Qualifications

  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and work ethic
  • Competitive nature. Driven to succeed. Hate to lose
  • Passion for/Knowledge of heavy equipment (Skid Steers, Mini Ex, Loaders, Multi Terrain Loaders) a plus
  • Strong construction background and sales experience selling capital goods.
  • Solid leadership qualities (examples of initiative)
  • 2 to 10+ years of sales experience
  • Strong questioning techniques that drive business conversations
  • Eager to embrace technology (cell phones, i-Pads, CRM, etc.)
  • Hungry to learn and an ability to apply new knowledge
