The National Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic national accounts in accordance with approved business plan guidelines. This position will focus on maintaining existing customers while also growing sales within their customer base. The National Account Manager will work closely with all levels of management to ensure goals are met.

  • Manage assigned national account(s) by providing leadership and direction.
  • Develop and execute business plans for each national account including both short-term and long-term strategies.
  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts for future sales trends for each national account.
  • Work cross functionally to develop programs designed to grow market share and increase sales.
  • Identify opportunities for increasing profitability through increased sales or reduced costs.
  • Negotiate contract renewals and/or extensions for assigned national accounts.
  • Resolve issues and conflicts with assigned national accounts as necessary.
  • Maintain awareness of competitive activities within assigned territory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associates Degree with relevant experience may be substituted.
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience required.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Valid driver license with acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Strong understanding of gas cylinder applications and safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of welding processes, metal fabrication and industrial gases.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
