The Manager, Contract Administration oversees the full lifecycle of commercial contracts ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, managing contract staff, and supporting strategic business initiatives through effective contract negotiation, execution, and monitoring. The position will support field sales and partner closely across internal departments to support the North America sales teams by providing accurate and timely contract support. Working with Sales Leadership, the incumbent will oversee negotiation of Sales Contract terms and conditions with major purchasing groups and health care organizations, collaborating with Legal and Finance as appropriate. The incumbent in this position is responsible for managing and coordinating the efforts of the Contract Administration team, and maintaining positive, timely, and effective communications between the group and all internal constituents and external customers and accounts.

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES

  • Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of all commercial contracts including Master Agreements, Product agreements, RFP/RFI/RFQ/tender requests, Evaluation agreements, Business Associate Agreements and other agreement types

  • Maintain contract lifecycle management systems and tools

  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance and Commercial teams to align contract terms with business goals

  • Manage and direct the policies, procedures and guidelines for creation, negotiation, execution and enforcement of commercial agreements with customers

  • Determine staffing requirements and day-to-day scheduling demands for the team

  • Establish and implement tools and resources to address training needs and on-going educational initiatives designed to ensure compliance and achievement of departmental goals

  • Liaise with Accounting and Customer Service to identify and resolve customer discrepancies

  • Synchronize reporting requirements across the business related to key metrics and business needs

  • Ensure company's on-going compliance with all Federal, State, local laws and regulations, as well as all Company policies and procedures

  • Establish & track key operational metrics

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS Degree in Business, Law, Healthcare Administration, or related field

  • Minimum of five (5) or more years of experience in contract administration, preferably in medtech, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries

  • Self-starter and strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to implement strategies based on competitive dynamics, economic conditions, and customer needs

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the end to end contract continuum with proven ability to negotiate across the customer spectrum

  • Demonstrated success in creating and inspiring a highly motivated, high impact team, boasting individualized development, and robust opportunities for recognition and advancement

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels internally as well as externally

  • Acute problem solving aptitude balancing the needs of the business while empathizing with the customer and their situation

  • Solid execution capabilities with the innate ability to manage multiple priorities, delivering quality results in a timely fashion

  • Detail orientation, balancing numerous business initiatives in a time sensitive manner

  • High level of technical proficiency to manage across multiple systems & platforms, with strong familiarity of leading contract management platforms

  • In-depth knowledge of basic contracting functions and legal terminology commonly used in commercial contracting

Pay Transparency: A reasonable estimate of the annual base salary for this position is $100,000 - $135,000 + discretionary annual bonus. Pay ranges may vary by location.
