Job Type: Full-time with overtime

Experience: 5+ years

Reports to: Territory Manager, supervisory responsibility

Wage: $75,000 - $95,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary:

A ready-mix regional manager will play a vital part in overseeing several ready-mix plants. Be home every night and be an integral part of exciting projects, building roads, bridges, houses, commercial buildings, and everything in between. Experience diversity, communicate with contractors, and work with a wide array of professionals on projects daily. Take ownership of your role by following safety and operational guidelines, maintaining courteous customer relations, and working with a team that feels like family.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Manage all daily operations of 6 - 9 Ready Mix plants within assigned regions.
  • Support personnel and locations with scheduling, coordinating crews, material deliveries, and driver assignments for large projects.
  • Be a leader, fostering the company philosophy of safety and compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations while communicating safety and business initiatives with weekly safety
  • Coordinate machine maintenance and repairs, following up to ensure satisfactory completion.
  • Verify quality control systems are in place and enforced at each location.
  • Prioritize maintenance by ensuring all locations have a documented preventive maintenance program.
  • Ensure Ready Mix plants and equipment maintain a safe and professional appearance at each
  • Review inventory needs and ensure all locations correctly order, maintain, and report
  • Maintain environmental compliance by ensuring all locations adhere to local environmental regulations (washouts, waste, water runoff, etc.).
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and courteously with customers to complete the delivery, collect a payment, resolve issues, and attract future business.
  • Support projects to maintain business profitability (labor and production management).

  • Troubleshoot problems in a dry batch concrete plant and with mixer trucks.
  • Understand the differences between different mix designs and be able to visually inspect the mix for proper materials, verify the load size to the ticket, check for the proper slump, and make appropriate adjustments
  • Develop the team while leading by example to train, motivate, and give direction to employees under their supervision. Resolve grievances through coaching and complete disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Follow up with future candidates for staffing/recruiting
  • Complete all required paperwork and administrative duties including, but not limited to payroll, invoice approvals, ticketing, and managing inventory with the use of computers, tablets or cell phones to ensure proper accounting and timekeeping practices are executed (pre-trip inspections, time reporting, truck reports, trip tickets, etc.).
  • Team player mentality and eagerness to cross-train on topics such as dispatching, batching, mechanics, etc.

Position Requirements:



  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
  • Class A or B CDL and current Medical DOT card.
  • At least 5 years of management experience.
  • ACI Level 1 certification.
