We are currently seeking a Senior Corrosion Control Technician to support our San Diego, CA customer.



  • Conduct all operational and technical efforts as assigned by the CCAT Team Lead to successfully execute the ship support schedules
  • Assist the Team Lead in carrying out the ships scheduling promulgated by the Type Commander.
  • Fill in as CCAT Team Lead in their absence, conduct shipboard in-briefs, training and attend all required briefs and meetings that are normally conducted by the CCAT Team lead.
  • Conduct shipboard planning walk thru and deck plate training during the CCAT availabilities.
  • Ensure the ship's personnel are trained in paint mixing and the use of all CCAT tools for surface preparation during the ship availability.
  • Ensure that all jobs completed by ships force are correctly documented by square footage, man-hours, coating type and JSN.
  • Take before, during and after photos and give to Team Lead for photo quads to be sent to NAVSEA.
  • Assist the tool tech in the repair and servicing of CCAT tools when needed to ensure a fast turnaround for other ships on the schedule.
  • Ensure tool accountability for the ships being worked as the HM&E tech.


Education:


High School Diploma or GED equivalent: and related military experience or trade and industrial school graduate and/ or trade experience.


Required Certification:


NACE Certified Coating Inspector Program (CIP) Level III with peer review.


Desired Experience:



  • Approximately seven (7) years of experience in the corrosion control field supporting U.S. Navy ship and submarine maintenance.
  • Experience with processes and requirements as they pertain to shipboard organizational level corrosion control maintenance of HM&E systems and ships structure.
  • Extensive knowledge of surface preparation tools, corrosion control techniques and coating systems used on U.S. Navy and/or Coast Guard ships/boats.
  • Experience with new corrosion control technologies and how they may be implemented on U.S. Navy and/or Coast guard ships/boats.


Must currently hold and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $86,190.40 to $129.285.60 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
