The Opportunity:

We are seeking a strategic leader who is committed to delivering exceptional customer and patient focus by leading insight strategies across all Roche Diagnostics Corporation franchises. As the Group Manager, Customer and Market Insights, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic decision-making and business impact across the organization.

This role is accountable for spearheading the development and delivery of comprehensive research and analysis of Roche Diagnostics Corporation's markets, customers, competition, and products, providing the organization with actionable insights. This individual will oversee and integrate the research and analysis of business opportunities and assess potential markets, ensuring data-driven strategic marketing decisions.

The Group Manager, Customer and Market Insights is responsible for providing visionary leadership for the customer and market insights team, ensuring proper prioritization and focus to deliver impactful research to the US commercial organization. This position will be a key strategic partner to the US Leadership Team, collaborating to shape long-term commercial strategies by communicating market opportunities and key portfolio needs through primary/secondary market research, competitive intelligence, and customer journey mapping.

Furthermore, this role will champion cross-functional collaboration with global product development and customer area marketing teams to represent US needs, thereby enabling the US affiliate to drive topline results and support the attainment of key business objectives. The Group Manager will also mentor and develop team members, overseeing their growth and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Head of Business Operations, Strategy, & Insights and leads a team accountable for informing business decisions via execution of primary quantitative and qualitative market research, identification and acquisition of secondary market research, coordination of competitive intelligence activities, and customer journey mapping

  • Primary point of interface to our marketing and sales leaders across all franchises to develop prioritization of insights required to deliver on commercial business objectives

  • Partner with senior leadership to define long-term commercial strategies through communication of market opportunities and key portfolio needs through primary/secondary market research, competitive intelligence, and customer journey mapping

  • Owner of relationships with key vendor partners to ensure proper research methodologies are utilized when conducting insight generation activities

  • Champion customer centricity via comprehensive customer listening system and collaborate with key functional leaders to ensure insights drive improvement plans

  • Partner with Finance to perform Business Case assessments leveraging market insights in combination with internal expertise across the US Commercial and Global organizations

  • Engage and partner with global teams to share best practices, optimize research investments, execute complex initiatives, align on key insights, and align global product development to deliver on US Commercial needs.

  • Hire, retain, and promote talented individuals; provide on-going coaching and performance management to continually enhance team's productivity, impact and career development

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales, or related business or scientific field

  • 7 years of progressive marketing experience or equivalent work experience.

  • 2 years of direct leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of direct leadership experience

  • Master's Degree (e.g. MBA)

  • Proven track record of building a team and mobilizing the team to deliver results

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proven enterprise mindset

  • Strong executive presence

  • Proven ability to influence without authority, including strong stakeholder management

  • Knowledge of IVD market and customers

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN is between $143,700 and $266,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
