Wieland is hiring a Second Shift Annealer Operator. This role is located in Heyco Reading, PA and will be fully on-site. The goal of the Annealing operator is to keep the furnace running and annealing metal to maximize production capacity. To anneal the coils per the list, and therefore the schedule, with the highest quality mindset to deliver to the customer.

Second Shift Annealer Operator Responsibilities:

• Comply with all safety regulations while in the plant.
• Comply with the Wieland Heyco Quality System and work instruction documents.
• Review the mill card prior to processing and understand the customer requirements.
• Complete all quality checks and to enter the required information onto the mill card.
• Comply with the Heyco Quality System at all times during processing.
• Ensure the bell is prepared and ready to run
• Make ends so there is a consistent supply for all shifts
• Ensure coils are at the proper location based on the scheduled start times even if the start time is not on your shift
• Follow the list, if there is a necessary reschedule raise the issue to supervision.
• To keep the annealing area clean.
• Any other duty as assigned
• Keep the work area clean.

Second Shift Annealer Operator Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanically and mathematically inclined.
• Able to use the computer operations.
• Able to learn how to read a micrometer.
• Frequent standing, bending, stooping, gripping
• Frequent walking.
• Work on a two-man annealing team per shift; a six-man team as a department
• Some lifting and carrying short distances (40 lbs)
• Manual dexterity needed to perform activities.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform computations.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally.
• Assist the operator process with the customer order to completion from the mill card specifications

Work Environment- Manufacturing Plant

License- Fork Lift License and Crane Certification
