The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission (PHMC) is seeking a highly motivated Legislative Liaison 2 to serve as the agency's point of contact for legislative matters. This professional reports to and collaborates with the Executive Director on building relationships with members of the General Assembly, the promotion of PHMC and legislative issues and strategies. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As Legislative Liaison, you will provide technical support through the tracking, review and analysis of all legislative bills and related issues which have a fiscal, program, or legal implication on the functions of the department and are characterized by significant public visibility, impact and have considerable public sensitivity.
You will have the opportunity to utilize your skills to coordinate internal analysis of legislative issues with program experts, prepare briefing papers and recommend legislative strategies. Additional responsibilities include tracking bills and issues as they migrate through the system, assisting with preparation of responses and testimonies, and performing duties as an advocate for PHMC with members of the General Assembly throughout the process of information gathering and sharing. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, three days per week in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of professional and varied governmental experience which included at least three years of work in legislative or policy analysis; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
