In this hands-on leadership role, you'll help ensure our railcar maintenance operations run safely and efficiently and that every railcar we touch meets the highest safety and quality standards. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 hour day shifts

Pay Range: $20.00 - $28.00 an hour depending on experience

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs and ensures all work is done in compliance with Quality Assurance Programs, specifications, and procedures.
  • Inspect incoming equipment, parts, and materials; identify and document non-conformances.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance Coordinator to address issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Responsible to be knowledgeable of the PSC Quality Assurance Manual and all related publications and procedures.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date quality records.
  • Works with Leadership and Quality Assurance Coordinator to meet requirements of the Quality Assurance Program.
  • Directs daily activities of the Railcar Repair Technicians.
  • Obtains and maintains required welding testing certifications.
  • Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.


Job Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:

  • Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and on top of and under railcars, as well as around railroad tracks.
  • Must be able to obtain or possess a valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of machines and tools required to weld, cut and gouge
  • Perform / prioritize multiple tasks with attention to details.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions including basic blue prints and schematics.
  • Basic mechanical skills and the ability to read a tape measure
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Stable work history with good references from past employers
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  • PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
