Job Description:

Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1.Builds barriers for various types of jobsite environments, including but not limited to scaffolding, drywall partitions, wood/metal forms, cabinetry work, etc.
2.Prepares work area by removing objects interfering with work, ensures all materials are at the jobsite, and performs preliminary work.
3.Completes carpentry tasks including but not limited to setting doorframes, assembly and install of cabinetry, and rough carpentry framing and blocking.
4.Works with varied materials including but not limited to wood, plastic, fiberglass or drywall.
5.Utilizes tools including but not limited to chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to erect and repair structures.
6.Utilizes tools including but not limited to levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
7.Joins materials with nails, screws, staples or adhesives.
8.Safely operates a variety of saws and other carpentry tools.
9.Checks work along the way to ensure it meets all code and specification requirements.
10.Comprehends and follows epidemiology requirements and safety (ICRA and PCRA) documents.
11.Communicates and presents self professionally within publicly occupied jobsite locations.
12.Communicates effectively with other trades, and constantly works effectively in areas with multiple trades.
13.Cleans work area daily and maintains equipment in safe working condition.
14.Follows all company and customer safety policies.
15.Keeps immediate working area clean. Must use broom and wheelbarrows and follow material procedures.
16.Able to look at flat drawings and understand how they would look as solid objects.
17.Completes all required and assigned training for this role.

Work Environment
The work is completed outside at the construction site, and can include renovating occupied facilities such as hospitals, labs, nursing homes, etc. The position is often exposed to sounds and loud noises, such as construction equipment. The job requires they wear protective equipment when on the construction site (Hardhats and safety glasses). Temperatures and conditions may vary depending on the weather and seasons.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and able to talk and hear other employee talking. The employee must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly. Expected Hours of Work
Full time position, occasional extended hours and weekends may apply.
Travel
Must have reliable transportation. Must be willing to travel 60 miles a day dependent on project location relative to where the employee lives.
Required Education and Experience
1.Minimum two years of carpentry experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
1.High School Diploma or GED.
2.Minimum two years of carpentry experience.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
1.Must understand safety rules and tool/equipment instructions.
2.Have the ability to take measurements and make calculations.
3.Have good communication skills both orally and in writing.
4.Must pass any skills tests as required by the jobsite.
5.Ability to problem solve when errors occur.
6.Keep tools and workspace organized.
7.Must be conscious of time schedules and deadlines.
8.Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
9.Must be able to tolerate heights without fear.
10.Must have own hand tools, power tools to be provided by Christman.
