EnSafe is accepting applications for a Health & Safety Integration Specialist based out of EnSafe's client site in Asheville, North Carolina, for a 1-year full-time with benefits contract with the possibility of extension or becoming a permanent party.

What We Are Looking For:

As a Health & Safety Integration Specialist, you will provide on-site health and safety support in a staff augmentation role for EnSafe's client. This position requires a hands-on safety professional who can deliver training, oversee contractor activities, conduct risk assessments, and support health and safety programs across a manufacturing environment.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Providing general safety oversight of contractors and transfer operations of manufacturing lines.
  • Developing, creating, and instructing health and safety training on OSHA topics such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hot work, confined spaces, PPE, and machine guarding.
  • Supporting documentation needs and providing H&S technical expertise as required.
  • Developing Job Hazard Analyses and safety-related procedures.
  • Performing machine guarding risk assessments.
  • Conducting industrial hygiene sampling.
  • Supporting client safety programs, policies, and procedures to promote a safe, healthy, and accident-free environment.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Environmental Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related discipline.
  • 5-10 years of relevant safety and industrial hygiene experience.
  • Experience developing and delivering training to employee groups.
  • Strong initiative, attention to detail, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Proven accountability and commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to pass a background check for access to on-site work locations.

Ideally, you'll also have...

  • Familiarity with contractor safety oversight in manufacturing settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHST) or working toward credentialing.
