LOCATION: Presidio of Monterey, CA

Target Salary: $80K to $90K

Position Overview:

Network Engineer V (Onsite Engineer Extreme Certified): The individual in
this position will work on Extreme Networks, possess a combination of experience,
skills, and qualifications. A Senior Level Network Onsite Engineer is expected to have
10+ years of relevant experience working with network infrastructure, preferably with a
focus on Extreme Networks products and solutions. The engineer has a strong
understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including but not

limited to LAN, WAN, routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network
security. Is certified to work on Extreme Networks products, such as switches, routers,
access points, and network management tools. Holding relevant industry certifications.
adept at troubleshooting complex network issues, identifying root causes, and
implementing effective solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The
Senior OSE has experience in managing network related projects, including planning,
implementation, and documentation, including network upgrades, migrations, and
infrastructure expansions.
Shall possess a combination of experience and skills with the following manufacturers
and applications:
a. Educational requirements include BA/BS from an accredited college or university
with a minimum of 5+ years experience or substitute with AA/AS with 7+ years
experience.
b. Require anyone of the following IAT Level II (CySA+, Security+, CND, or SSCP)
Certification and CE/OS Certification.
c. CCNA Certification or equivalent required.
d. VMware NSX: Install, Configure, Manage (V6.2)
e. Ruckus Layer 2 Switches / Wireless Controller / Wireless Access Points
f. Palo Alto Networks Firewall knowledge of PA-7050 / PA-3060 / PA-3260 / PA-5450
/ WildFire/URL Filtering /
g. Brocade MPLS Implementation Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches
h. Cisco Networks switches and routers
i. Aruba Networks Excellent knowledge of Wireless Controllers / Access Points /
Airwave / ClearPass
j. Ciena 100G OME 6500 DWDM System
k. Extreme Networks Layer 2/3, MLXE Switches /Extreme IQ / OSPF, BGP, and
MPLS
l. SolarWinds, InMon Sentinel, Uptrends

Required Qualifications:

* Sec+ CE certification
