Controller/Auditor

Grays Harbor Public Utility District is seeking a full-time Controller/Auditor to perform a variety of complex work in the areas of accounting, budgeting, treasurer, reporting, and auditing.  This position assists in the development of business processes and internal controls.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field; and at least five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Must have a valid WA State Driver’s License, or ability to obtain.

Preferred qualifications include experience in public accounting, utility accounting, financial operations, and/or auditing; familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)/Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB); experience with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Uniform System of Accounts; Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or similar certification; and experience with National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) software applications.  Please review the associated job description for more information.
