Job Family Description

Mission Analysts utilize multiple intelligence disciplines to support the operational success of the Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. Professionals in these roles are responsible for conducting continuous all-source intelligence assessments for topics that could impact critical mission areas and synthesize these into actionable analyses of these mission programs, facilities, and equipment in key mission facilities against an ever-changing threat environment. Personnel are expected to harness their training and experience in varying intelligence disciplines to identify and assess subversion risks against current/future threats. They assure Nuclear Weapon production and nuclear material processing capabilities are not subverted through the development and maintenance of threat assessments, risk models, and mitigation strategies.

Discipline Description

Intelligence analyst personnel analyze, assimilate, and evaluate relevant intelligence information critical to the successful execution of SRS missions, especially those related to national security and nuclear weapon stockpile maintenance. They ensure intelligence information is assessed and integrated into the security programs that protect government information, nuclear weapon production capabilities, and other critical mission areas.

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:

* Conduct comprehensive supply chain analysis to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and potential disruption points.
* Utilize advanced analytical tools and methodologies to assess and interpret data related to supply chain activities.
* Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings and recommendations for senior management.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified supply chain risks.
* Stay updated on industry trends, geopolitical developments, and emerging threats that may impact the supply chain.
* Integrate Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) insights into analytical processes for enhanced situational awareness.
* Provide expert advice and guidance on intelligence-related matters to internal stakeholders.
* Analyze current and emergent subversion threats for current and future procurements.
* Work with procurement, contracting, and counterintelligence entities to enhance countersubversion efforts.
* Participate or coordinate initiatives with NNSA Counterintelligence office, cyber security, vulnerability assessments, productions engineers, and operations.
* Participate with risk mitigation teams to reduce exposure to subversion risks through developing design
* Provide threat, vulnerability, and consequence analysis to inform decision making
* Make presentations to communicate with management and area leadership on issues, assessments, and risks.
* Collaborate across Nuclear Security Enterprise with other intelligence and assurance professionals.
* Some travel will be required
* Provide senior-level analysis, expertise, and support to supply chain operations to resolve broad technical issues with division and/or site-wide implications. Specific support provided will differ according to assignments but will generally include conducting comprehensive supply chain analyses, directing, planning, developing, implementing, and administering supply chain risk management, and intelligence-related programs. These functions will typically be in direct support of a specific facility (or facilities), location, or functional area.

Utilize advanced analytical tools and methodologies to assess and interpret data related to supply chain activities and emerging threats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified supply chain risks.

* Stay updated on industry trends, geopolitical developments, and emerging threats that may impact the supply chain, leveraging OSINT sources. Integrate Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) insights into analytical processes to enhance situational awareness and decision-making. Provide expert advice and guidance on OSINT-related matters to internal stakeholders. Analyze current and emergent subversion threats for current and future procurements using OSINT. Work with procurement, contracting, and counterintelligence entities to enhance countersubversion efforts through OSINT integration.

* Participate or coordinate initiatives with the NNSA Counterintelligence office, cybersecurity, vulnerability assessments, production engineers, and operations teams. Participate with risk mitigation teams to reduce exposure to subversion risks through developing design strategies informed by OSINT. Provide threat, vulnerability, and consequence analysis using OSINT to inform decision-making processes. Make presentations to communicate with management and area leadership about issues, assessments, and risks, including OSINT findings.

* Collaborate across the Nuclear Security Enterprise with other intelligence and assurance professionals, prioritizing OSINT methodologies. Travel as required to support various initiatives

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus at least ten years of experience (YOE), OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least eight years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE)
* Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered

* Proficiency in data visualization tools to communicate complex data insights effectively.
* Experience conducting supply chain risk management analysis.
* Experience working with classified information and communicating with U.S. Department of Defense (military or civilian) and cleared defense contractors.
* Experience performing risk assessments and compliance reviews.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
