Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer III (Senior Level) to join our development team. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership in development projects, and the ability to mentor junior developers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering scalable, high-performance software solutions, combined with excellent communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This location adheres to the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). All employees must undergo a federal background check, which requires U.S. citizenship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development projects, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability

  • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.

  • Maintain, enhance, and debug software applications built with VB.NET and C#

  • Collaborate with QA, BA, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures

  • Participate in the design and architecture of new solutions with an enterprise mindset

  • Work collaboratively within cross-functional teams of three or more developers to deliver features and resolve issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of software development experience, with strong skills in VB.NET and C#

  • Strong SQL development experience, including complex queries and performance tuning

  • Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or TFS

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think independently and take initiative

  • Quick learner, adaptable to new frameworks and emerging technologies

  • Self-starter with the ability to manage tasks independently

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with RESTful API development and integrations

  • Experience with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure

  • Background in enterprise-level applications with scalability and performance optimization

  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $100,00 - $130,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employees.
