Title:Project Manager I (industrial) (ES) POSITION CONCEPT: Manage Engineering, Facilities, and Construction Projects within the Energy Supply and Energy Delivery organizations at Tampa Electric Company. Leads project teams as the single point of accountability for all aspects of project lifecycle. The Project Manager is responsible for oversight of projects to meet the goals of the company with respect to schedule, budget, and operating performance. Duties also include conflict resolution between the company and engineering, construction, equipment, service, and material providers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION: Required: Minimum of High school Diploma or GED Preferred: Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Engineering, Construction, Business, or a related field. MBA or graduate degree in Engineering Management. SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE: Preferred: Minimum of (2) two years' direct or indirect supervisory experience EXPERIENCE: Required: Minimum of (7) seven years of experience in commercial construction, industrial, and/or power production industries. Experience should include contract administration, project administration, cost estimating, planning, scheduling, and construction. In lieu of some experience, a Bachelor's and minimum 5 years related experience may be considered. Preferred: Experience managing general construction and/or engineering contracts; Experience with facility improvements and maintenance/upgrades desirable KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Required: Ability to lead and motivate team members. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Solid understanding of power plants or industrial process operations. Preferred: Working knowledge of work management systems, project management, scheduling, and cost control systems. COMPETENCIES:
