Job Summary
The Sr. Principal Product Manager is a senior strategic and execution-oriented leader responsible for shaping, delivering, and driving the success of core and emerging products within the Company's portfolio-particularly in alignment with a new product strategy that is still in development. This role operates at the intersection of strategy and execution, requiring the ability to influence company direction, translate vision into actionable plans, and ensure successful cross-functional delivery. This individual will work closely with the Company's leadership team, product managers, and stakeholders across R&D, architecture, engineering, marketing, sales, enablement, pricing, and customer support to define market-relevant solutions. The Principal Product Manager will also represent the Company externally-engaging directly with customers, partners, vendors, analysts, and the broader industry to shape product direction and accelerate market adoption. The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative, market-savvy leader with deep domain expertise in customer engagement technologies and the ability to navigate ambiguity while delivering measurable results.
Essential Job Functions
- Shape and Evolve Product Strategy: Collaborate with Company leadership to refine and operationalize product strategy, factoring in emerging market trends, customer needs, competitive positioning, and evolving business priorities. Provide strategic clarity and roadmap guidance even in the absence of fully finalized product strategies.
- Lead Cross-Organizational Execution: Drive coordinated execution across product management, engineering, architecture, pricing, enablement, marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure alignment, timely delivery, and business impact. Define and track key success metrics for product adoption, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Act as an Outward-Facing Product Evangelist: Serve as a primary product representative to customers, partners, industry analysts, and vendors. Present at industry events, engage in thought leadership, and help shape the Company's external positioning.
- Guide Product Lifecycle and Go-to-Market: Lead the definition of new or updated products and services under the Company's Product Lifecycle and Pragmatic Marketing Framework. Establish clear product positioning, pricing strategies, and value propositions in partnership with marketing and sales.
- Integrate Market and Customer Insights: Build a deep understanding of customer workflows, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes. Translate insights into product requirements and differentiated capabilities.
- Champion Quality and Delivery Excellence: Ensure products meet defined feature sets, cost parameters, manufacturability goals, reliability targets, and release schedules. Provide a focal point for introduction of shared components and platform initiatives across the portfolio.
- Mentor and Influence: Provide leadership and guidance to other product managers and cross-functional team members. Help elevate product management practices and decision-making processes company-wide.
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive product management experience, with at least 5 years in a Principal or equivalent senior strategic role.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional products in fast-changing environments.
- Pragmatic Marketing Framework Certification or equivalent training/experience.
- Experience influencing product direction at the executive level.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; advanced degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep experience in cloud software, telecommunications, or contact center solutions.
- Expertise in omnichannel customer engagement, customer service workflows, and agent enablement.
- Strong familiarity with regulatory/compliance requirements in communications and customer engagement solutions.
- Recognized thought leader or industry contributor in relevant domains.
