Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Systems Architect I to support the IT program at a major national laboratory. This position is in support of a major Federal Laboratory. The organization provides modern IT Configuration (CM) Platforms Enterprise IT Services for Linux and Infrastructure. The organization provides services that are resilient, secure, standardized, and simple. Provide secure authentication and authorization to access data and application workloads currently on workloads, and proxy services.

The team provides state-of-the art infrastructure computing systems for the laboratory at benchmark efficiency while ensuring the highest reliability and enterprise utility. Services include infrastructure tools for application support, communications, and need-to-know authorization as well as computing resources which can be accessed, shared, and utilized from anywhere on the internal, external, and classified networks.

The Enterprise Secure Network Team is looking for a motivated team member to architect and implement the Identity and Access Management (IAM) technology platforms and processes necessary to support a multi-site, secure, collaborative IT environment! This person will learn to support current technologies, while leading and driving improvements and new architectures in support of future program goals. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with partners of many technical disciplines across the Nuclear Security Enterprise in support of a National Mission.



Responsibilities

    Support Directory Services
  • Provide Web, REST API Single-Sign-on authentication and authorization services by integrating with Access Manager
  • Work with developers to enable applications for authentication and authentication services.
  • Monitor production services and respond to system problems and user issues.
  • Participate in the fulfillment to technical projects and organizational objectives functioning as an effective team member on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide technical assistance, and/or mentoring to others in the areas of authentication and authorization services.


Qualifications

  • BS/BA with 3 years' experience
  • In lieu of a degree, 9 years of related job experience is applicable.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required per Contract to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy clearance, with the ability to obtain and DOE "Q" clearance.
  • Experience with implementing and supporting provisioning/IDM platform (e.g., ForgeRock, Ping, Okta, Sailpoint, NetIQ, Oracle, ADFS, etc.)
  • Experience with LDAP directory servers

Desired skills:

  • Understanding of identity and access management principles
  • Understanding of LDAP directory servers and their place in identity management solutions
  • Working knowledge of ForgeRock's platform (IDM, DS, AM)
  • Broad knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas.
  • Public key Infrastructure
  • Secure Multi-factor Authentication
  • Single Sign-on
  • SAML or SAML2
  • Oath, OIDC, or other claims-based authentication.
  • Building automation tools such as Jenkins, Maven and Gradle
  • Web-based application development with HTML5, JavaScript, and Angular, or React
  • DevOps/DevSecOps processes and technologies
  • Experience working in Linux environments.

This position is eligible for telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.
