Salary range:
A reasonable estimate for this position is $93,400 - $248,400. See Table - Professional Research Series - Represented - Fiscal Year - Exempt and Non-Exempt Application Window Open date: August 21, 2025 Next review date: Saturday, Sep 20, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Tuesday, Jun 30, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the UC Irvine School of Medicine anticipates occasional openings in the Researcher Series at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Researcher rank. Applications are being sought from recent Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. graduates in the field of Ophthalmology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or related fields. Interdisciplinary skills and approaches in Immunology, Microbiology, Pathology, and/or Neuroscience are strongly desired. Appointees may be ongoing members of a research team or may be employed for a limited period to contribute high-level skills. The ideal candidate will be expected to be able to work independently, have a strong track record of research and project management and can make valuable contributions to our research program in terms of high-impact publications and grant applications. Positions are dependent on extramural funding. Researcher series positions are occasionally available throughout the year in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences.
