Warehouse Distribution and Supply Manager

REPORTS TO: Jason Wesslund STATUS: Exempt

SALARY/PAY RANGE

$60,000 - $80,000

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Under the direction of the Agronomy Marketing Manager, organize and direct the Onarga Warehouse employees and operations. Maintains accurate inventory levels to support the seasonal demands of the company. Works closely with the warehouse admin, seed department team and warehouse operation staff ordering crop protection products as needed, seed treatment oversight, staging product for pickup/delivery, and dispatching drivers for timely deliveries. Supports the energy team managing inventory of packaged goods for DEF, Lube Oil, Antifreeze and Grease.

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

Supervises, leads, and develops the assigned Onarga Warehouse/Delivery/Seed Treatment personnel by providing leadership, setting performance expectations, providing feedback, and actively maintaining performance management standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Supervises, schedules, leads, trains, and develops warehouse/delivery personnel daily.

Approves time records, vacation requests, and purchase requisitions.

Maintains, updates, and monitors the Onarga warehouse.

Receives orders from Crops Locations. Replies to all orders to confirm receipt and delivery of products.

Pull and stages products for delivery.

Dispatches drivers for deliveries.

Maintains, and manages inventory of crop protection and seed.

Performs monthly inventory and maintains accurate records of all warehouse products and equipment.

Schedules for routine maintenance for delivery trucks and warehouse equipment.

Receives and responds to customer inquiries, complaints, and needs in the best interest of the customer, as well as the company's wellbeing.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Assists with the development of the company budget by forecasting capital projects and/or expense items.

Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 3-5 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge to effectively manage the service, projects, and personnel.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.

Must obtain and maintain all applicable licenses, certifications, and/or permits as required to perform the required duties including but not limited to Class A CDL and Forklift certification.

Adheres to the uniform policy and maintains the appropriate professional image.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and can travel independently and overnight.

Ability to work extended hours or on call as business conditions warrant.

Frequently exposed to or required to perform work tasks that may include:

  • Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, mud, snow, ice, wind, etc.)
  • Noisy conditions
  • Conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical, and mechanical hazards with appropriate safety measures
  • Lifting 51 - 70 lbs.
  • Maneuvering barrels or drums of product with a minimum weight of 450 lbs

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
