Job Duties: Associate, Banker - Industry/Country Coverage with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Participate in advisory teams and structure and execute a full range of financial transactions, with a focus on Mergers and Acquisitions, Debt Issuances and Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) for middle-market companies across industry sectors. Perform deep-dive valuation and other financial analyses (including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, merger consequences, comparable companies, and precedent transactions) during buy-side or sell-side M&A or financing processes (e.g., impact of issuing equity, debt, or repurchasing shares) to present to corporates, financial sponsors, and private clients. Analyze accounting and regulatory statements, debt and equity filings and documents, financial projections, and models to support analyses. Work closely with Managing Directors, Vice Presidents, other Associates and Analysts in the Firm. Day-to-day interaction with senior and junior bankers relating to the preparation of financial exhibits, marketing documents and information memorandums for clients. Interact with client executives, working with other bankers to help guide clients in their financial decisions. Coordinate with teams across divisions to prepare client marketing or sales memoranda. Lead aspects of executing financial transactions, which includes, but is not limited to, interacting with client management, or potential buyers, analyzing financial statements, conducting due diligence, drafting financing or marketing materials, and preparing debt, equity, or merger filings and regulatory documents (including SEC-filed documents, press releases, and merger proxies). Attend in-person or telephonic due diligence sessions with senior executives from the client, or with suppliers, customers, and other related parties in order to evaluate the veracity of a company's business model and end market, historical and projected financial performance, and other factors.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years with the following: collaborating and communicating with internal and external parties to gain inputs and perform analysis required to inform recommendations to investment banking clients across a range of industries; managing workstreams and deliverables for clients, including coordinating and reviewing the work of more junior team members to meet deadlines; conducting analysis to evaluate strategic alternatives and decisions, including evaluating the impacts of various scenarios and recommendations; leading calls and working sessions with clients and other stakeholders; analyzing accounting and regulatory statements, debt and equity filing documents, financial projections and models as prepared in various formats by clients to assess company performance, identify trends and evaluate risks and opportunities; coordinating work schedules with senior members of the deal team and prioritizing tasks to meet conflicting deadlines; managing live deal execution, including driving due diligence processes, reviewing legal documents, organizing and attending management presentations and liaising with other investment banks and internal parties; and develop comprehensive financial models and analyze large datasets, extracting key insights and translating complex financial information into actionable recommendations, utilizing Microsoft Power Point, Word and Excel. Domestic travel required approximately 5% of the time for in-person client meetings. All travel expenses reimbursable by the firm.

Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position is $150,000 - $225,000.
