What you will do

As an Industrial Refrigeration (IR) Sales Engineer, you will join the regional York Process Solutions (YPS) sales team, focusing on the promotion, training, and expansion of York packaged systems. This remote position requires up to 50% travel within the U.S. and/or Canada. This role is perfect for a motivated individual looking to advance their career in a challenging yet rewarding environment. How You Will Do It
  • Create distinctive sales strategies and support, including process system designs and solutions customized to customer needs.

  • Drive monthly "Must Win" sales opportunities.

  • Concentrate on primary industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and various forms of gas compression in midstream and downstream markets.

  • Conduct preliminary design of refrigeration systems, calculate accurate project costs, collaborate with vendors for quotations, and prepare project proposals that meet client specifications.

  • Advance YPS business in line with company objectives for sustainability, quality earnings, and continuous growth.

  • Implement business initiatives to ensure total customer satisfaction and achieve desired outcomes.

  • Support YPS business in the assigned region with a focus on sustainability, quality earnings, and continuous growth.

  • Ensure the success of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Leadership Review Plan (LRP) objectives within the YPS department.

  • Engage in marketing and promotional activities, including seminars, conferences, exhibitions, and other events that bolster business performance.

  • Maintain existing customer relationships and develop new ones to ensure ongoing business growth.

  • Monitor competitor activities, products, pricing, performance, and promotional strategies, developing tactics to maintain a competitive advantage.

  • Ensure all business operations and conduct comply with Johnson Controls policies.

  • Work closely with other departments to achieve overall company objectives and performance targets.

  • Support the Waynesboro, PA facility teams and customer site visits.

  • Promote a high morale and team spirit.

What We Look For
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Process).

  • 3-5 years of experience in HVAC or large equipment sales.

  • 3-5 years' experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, HVAC/Refrigeration, or related industry.

  • Technical understanding of industrial compression, refrigeration, and/or heating.

  • Background in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas is advantageous.

  • Knowledge of contract/project/credit management, pricing, quotations, business and technical proposals, vendor negotiations, and budgeting.

  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and relationship management skills.

  • A proactive team player.

  • A broad-based engineering background with knowledge of process refrigeration.

  • Experience managing CRM platforms, such as Salesforce.
