We are currently looking for a Prepping/ Grade Foreman to join our skilled team in Central Oregon!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Lead and manage a grading/prep crew on asphalt paving projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade specifications.
  • Ensure proper setup and control of grades using GPS, laser, or stringline systems.
  • Direct equipment operators and laborers in excavation, grading, compaction, and base preparation.
  • Verify grades and elevations to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with Paving Foreman, Project Manager, and survey crews to resolve grade issues.
  • Monitor productivity, safety, and quality of work performed by the crew.
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and inspection of equipment.
  • Train and mentor crew members in proper grading and safety practices.
  • Complete daily reports, timekeeping, and job-related paperwork.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in grading, site preparation, or asphalt paving.
  • Prior foreman or crew lead experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of grading techniques, soil compaction, and construction materials.
  • Ability to read civil drawings and use survey equipment (GPS, laser, transit).
  • Proficiency with heavy equipment such as motor graders, dozers, and skid steers.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safety practices and compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.



Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing manual labor as needed.
  • Ability to work long hours, nights, weekends, and travel to job sites as required.
