Genesis10 is currently seeking a
Program Leader - Executive (Non-Tech) for a 3+ month contract role in the financial industry with our client in Minneapolis, MN. This role is 20% remote.
Summary: 5-10 years of experience in project/program management, with at least 3 years in transformation or change leadership roles The purpose of this position is to actively manage the delivery of a portfolio of projects while ensuring the program has sufficient governance, infrastructure, financial management, resource management and planning to successfully deliver scope within schedule and cost. Throughout the life cycle of the program, this role is expected to engage key stakeholders and leaders across the organization and to provide strategic leadership to individual project managers. This role is responsible for: - Assisting in the optimization, prioritization and execution of the portfolio by ensuring the business case is credible, facilitating the Investment Optimization (IO) planning process and providing thought leadership on the constraints, costs, and implementation strategies required to provide optimal execution and achievement of reengineering goals. - Providing vision, leadership and innovation to project teams responsible for the delivery of the program's projects that are often complex, cross-organizational initiatives in support of strategic objectives. - Ensuring goals, metrics and objectives of the program are clearly defined and agreed upon with the program sponsorship/steering committee and cascaded throughout the program team. - Negotiating with organizational managers to initiate or continue programs and/or projects based on business performance and available organizational resources. - Providing strategic management of the program to achieve the organizational objectives, including optimal resource allocation for both the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the program. - Assessing and monitoring the program's performance and implementing corrective actions to keep program on track and within budget. - Maintaining the financial gating process for the program, providing leadership and guidance to the project managers while holding them accountable to the established project plans. - Developing and maintaining a roll-up work plan which indicates the program's key dependencies, resources, time-frame for completion, deliverables, risks, issues and progress against plan and providing an update to the Steering Committee while outlining key escalations and decisions required. - Conducting periodic briefings and status updates to executive sponsors and program Steering Committee and facilitating discussions to resolve issues and obtain sign off. - Building and sustaining key relationships with stakeholders to ensure that outcomes and goals are achieved. - Providing leadership to ensure that all policies and procedures are adopted and successful in the PMO. Proposing enhancements to the organization's Project Management Methodology / Framework. - Ensuring adequate controls exist for underlying projects and that all projects are managed within the company's project delivery framework founded on the CMMi methods. The ideal candidate for this position must possess: - Self-directed leadership and drive - The ability to balance approach to political, economic, social, technological, and administrative factors - Demonstrated experience leading multiple complex programs from design to delivery - The ability to think strategically and effectively lead, influence, communicate and interact with people of all levels across the organization, including external partners as required - Objective decision making ability, strong analytical and problem solving skills - Solid understanding of Project, Program and Portfolio Management methodology, tools and techniques, including Capability Maturity Model integrated (CMMi) methods - Outstanding presentation and facilitation skills - The ability to adjust quickly to changing situations and to drive results through ambiguous environments or unexpected obstacles - Demonstrated experience motivating/mentoring others and managing significant change management efforts Senior Program Manager - Consultant Core Responsibilities of Senior Program Manager Strategic Alignment & Planning * Coordinate Capability COEs' LOB engagement model (e.g., Art of the Possible process, ad hoc intakes) * Support collation of Transformation outcomes from Capability COEs; partner with Finance on report-out Program Execution & Governance * Coordinate with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Line of Business (LOB) stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution. * Establish and manage governance structures, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics * Drive agenda for Transformation SteerCo (to be set up) discussions/ enable decision-making Change Enablement & Communication * Coordinate with communications team on transformation updates to all employees, and supports ELT /other stakeholder communications (weekly update, steerco decks etc) Governance: Establish program structure, operating cadence, meeting facilitation and communications for the project. * Program Structure: In partnership with business owner, establish the workstreams with functional owners for clear delineation of effort and prioritization. * Meeting management: agenda coordination & prioritization with business owner/sponsor to elevate key discussions in established forums. Project Delivery * Establish the end-to-end project plan, critical path with key milestones for the effort. The PMs will manage overall project delivery including tracking of project financials (if applicable) and reporting for ELT-level materials. Risk Mitigation & Status Reporting : Ensure we are mitigating, solving for and decisioning the right things to help initiatives stay on track. * Document & Artifact Management: Ensure robust documentation and transparency to project status, risk mitigation plans and issue management resolution. Other work products as defined by the ATK framework. * Status Management: Aligning with business owner on status coloring (Red / Amber / Green) and elevation of risks, issues or key decisions for status reporting. Financial Management * Rigor on budget management of program including - actuals, resource planning and forecasting, PCR (project change requests), and Business line IRB process. Key Competencies

Compensation: Hourly W2 pay: $75.00 to $80.00/hour We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
