Set-Up Technician

Staffmark is hiring a Set-Up Technician in Urbana, OH! This is a great opportunity to work in a high-tech manufacturing environment where you'll support production operations through mold changes, equipment setups, automation changeovers, and preventative maintenance.

Pay: $22.04 - $27.24/hr (based on experience)

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Responsibilities:

• Perform mold changes, insert changes, and mold setups on the production floor
• Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on molds and tooling
• Troubleshoot hot runner systems and controllers, including wiring
• Support mold qualifications and engineering projects as needed
• Set up and maintain parts handling systems, including automation guarding
• Troubleshoot and repair automated systems and equipment issues
• Manage PM programs for parts handling and automation equipment
• Maintain documentation of mold conditions and press schedules
• Respond to machine alarms and assist with troubleshooting or repairs
• Assist with machine start-ups and shut-downs
• Help packers as needed (e.g., box setup, part handling)
• Ensure safety issues are addressed and corrective actions are implemented
• Maintain spare parts inventory and tool area organization
• Use precision measuring tools to evaluate inserts and mold bases
• Complete required paperwork for shipments and inventory management

What You'll Bring:

• 1+ year of relevant manufacturing or technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and above-average math skills
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work on ladders or step stools
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and strong attention to detail
• Willingness to complete training in areas like Forklift, Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, CPR, and more
