A Day in the Life: Join Bunge as a Regional Safety Manager and champion a "safety first" culture across our industrial operations. You'll partner with regional and plant leadership to implement programs that prevent serious incidents, injuries, and fatalities, while ensuring regulatory compliance. Reporting to the North American Safety Director, you'll be a key driver of continuous improvement and a vital resource for our plants. What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide expert technical support and guidance to operations leadership and plant teams.
- Coach leaders and safety professionals on effective safety leadership.
- Conduct audits to evaluate safety standard effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and drive closure of corrective actions for high-risk items.
- Support the deployment of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles.
- Contribute to the execution of the North America 5-year safety plan.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned safety programs, collaborating across North America and with the Global Safety team.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or engineering with an emphasis in safety, or closely related field, or equivalent work experience required.
- 10 or more years of manufacturing safety experience or related food/agribusiness experience.
- Demonstrated experience with making improvements in SIF potential incidents (Serious Injury, Fatality) and HPE's (High Potential Exposures).
- Experience with Human & Organizational Performance (HOP) and deployment at the plant level.
- Experience working with multiple sites
- Demonstrated success in the application of safety standards, compliance with safety regulations, and the promotion of a safe working environment.
