The North Kirkland Community Center is looking for a fun and inspiring Hip Hop Instructor to lead dance classes forages5-11! What You'll Do: Plan and teach upbeat, age-appropriate hip hop classes Create a safe, fun, and inclusive class environment Communicate effectively with both kids and parents Encourage confidence, coordination, and creativity through dance What You Bring: Solid knowledge of hip hop and youth dance styles Creative, flexible teaching style Experience working with children ages 5-11 Strong communication and classroom management skills Special Note *candidates* *are* *encouraged* to *apply* *ASAP.* Hours of Work Classes start September 2025. Wednesday afternoon/evenings at the North Kirkland Community Center. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Good communication skills are required. Ability to interact courteously with the public. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated good judgement in problem solving and responding to customer needs. Proficiency in standard computer software. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Must have 6 months of related teaching experience. Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification by start date. Must successfully complete a thorough background check as required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act. Mustbeatleast18yearsofage. Other Working Conditions & Physical Activities Work is performed in a community center setting, with high levels of noise. Must be able to walk, climb, bend, and stoop to complete tasks.
