Information Technology Technician Intern

(Temporary Position)

Information Technology - Waco, Texas

SUMMARY OF POSITION The purpose of this position is to provide technical support and system administration as part of a team in a cross-matrix organization. This position is responsible for technical problem resolution, systems configuration, documentation, inventory control, and carrying out duties in accordance with the Authority's Strategic Plan.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Advanced level of technical and customer service skills; adept at technical learning; knowledge of principles and techniques of automated systems processing; technical expertise, current Windows operating systems, off-the-shelf applications, custom applications, remote troubleshooting techniques, LANs and workstations; log and document daily calls; maintain inventory records; knowledge progressive techniques, methods and procedures related to computer services; knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; ability to troubleshoot and resolve client problems while maintaining high standards of service set by the Authority.

ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE & TRAINING College course work in computer science and information systems and two to four years of increasingly responsible experience in working with and maintaining information systems or any combination of training and experience that would provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

SALARY: $ 15.00 per hour. This is a temporary position.
