Summary / Objective

The Sr. Accountant for name.com will own all accounting and reporting functions for the company's registrar business, name.com, with a focus on improving processes and documenting them for efficiency. This role will manage the month-end close, handle daily financial operations, and support financial reporting, audits, and new business integrations.

This role reports to the Manager, Accounting

What You'll Do



  • Oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for the company's Registrar business: name.com
  • Drive process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Document and evaluate business processes, identifying opportunities to optimize workflows
  • Manage the month-end close process, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses
  • Process accounts payable invoices and manage cash receipts related to the Registrar business
  • Monitor and reconcile registry balances for the Registrar business on a daily and weekly basis
  • Contribute to special projects, including cross-functional initiatives, complex reconciliations, and system implementations
  • Support integration activities for newly acquired businesses
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and analysis as needed
  • Assist with financial reporting, including preparing financial statements and footnotes
  • Prepare audit and tax compliance schedules and reports
  • Collaborate closely with business partners, delivering insights and data to inform decisions and optimize results
  • Actively models and promotes Identity Digital's core values through day-to-day interactions, behaviors, and decision-making
  • Other duties as assigned


Who You Are / What You Bring



  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; a mix of public and private accounting preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
  • Collaborative, adaptable team player who partners effectively across the company and leads meetings independently
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong time management skills, able to prioritize competing deadlines, resolve issues efficiently, and drive activities to timely closure
  • Detail-oriented and analytically strong, skilled at identifying and assessing complex issues, focusing on relevant data, and leveraging key metrics for decision-making
  • Flexible and resilient in rapidly changing environments, maintaining a strong customer focus
  • Technically proficient with US GAAP, a general understanding of relevant tax issues, and experience with NetSuite (preferred)
  • Advanced software skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word), Google Workspace, and expertise in Excel pivot tables and formulas
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to work across time zones as part of a global organization as needed
  • Reliable transportation to the workplace


Physical Requirements



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times


Salary Range

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $87,000 - $111,000 (flexibility based on experience) plus benefits as described below. In addition, the successful candidate will be eligible to receive other compensation from time to time in the form of discretionary and/or nondiscretionary bonuses and long-term incentive plan. Actual compensation will be influenced by a candidate's qualifications, internal employee equity considerations, and location. We will not ask for information about a candidate's current or past compensation for purposes of developing an offer of employment.

US team members (and their spouses, domestic partners, and/or dependent children) are covered by generously subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance which includes company contributions to a Health Savings Accounts. Team members are also covered by company-paid life and disability insurance and have the option of participating in employee-paid supplemental life, accidental death and dismemberment, critical illness, and accident insurance. In addition, team members can enroll in the company's 401(k) plan with up to a 5% match. You receive 15 days of paid vacation yearly, increasing to 20 days after one year. Additionally, you get 5 days of paid sick leave, 13 paid holidays, and 20 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents, 12 weeks for others. Also, there's an opportunity for tuition reimbursement for qualifying expenses.
