This position is expected to start around January 2026 and continue through the Winter/Spring term (ending approximatelyMay 2026) orcontinuing intoSummer 2026if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program.Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work40 hoursper weekon-site. Many students will be limited to part-timeduring the academic year.

About Noise, Vibration, Harshness Engineering

Asan NVHengineeringinternyou will play a role in the design and development of Tesla's industry-leading products. You will analyze,optimize, and revolutionize electric vehicle designs. You will work with fellow NVH engineers and other engineering teams to solve the toughest challenges in the industry and deliver world-class performance.


What You'll Do
  • Develop, tune, and validate digital signal processing algorithms
  • Monitor production quality of relevant sensors. Develop self-test algorithms and analyze large production datasets
  • Support world-class engineering teams with design directions based on your analyses
  • Perform analyses for feasibility in manufacturing, assembly and service processes

What You'll Bring
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Digital Signal Processing, or a related field
  • Deep understanding of DSP fundamentals (Fast Fourier transform, Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem, frequency domain convolution etc.)
  • Strong programming skills in Matlab and CStrong communicationskills, self-motivation, independent worker, excellent team player
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver independent root cause analysis on difficult projects with tight timing constraints

  • Excellent understanding of acoustics and vibration principles
  • Familiarity with version control software like git is a plus
  • Familiarity with high level programming languages (e.g. Python) is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on difficult projects with tight timing constraints

    Expected Compensation
    $25.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
