ABOUT THIS ROLE

St. Michael's is seeking candidate for a Federal G-Invoicing Accounting (12-week Contract) position to support for a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) client's financial management office. You will be in a client-facing role that will benefit from your leadership, problem solving, and expertise with the processes and systems used to support financial management operations across DHS. Our core value of Teamwork will be paramount to this role as you will work side by side with government personnel and a team of financial management experts providing support across our client's multiple financial offices.

LOCATION

Primarily remote, but candidates must be based in the greater Washington, D.C. metro area with the ability to report on-site at the client location as needed

WHO YOU ARE



  • Bachelor's Degree in related area (Business, Accounting, Finance, Etc.)
  • 3 - 10 years of related experience
  • Direct experience with federal accounting, specifically working with G-Invoicing.
  • Currently possess an active Public Trust Clearance (or higher).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively with a group or independently.
  • Ability to read/interpret management policy, regulations, and directives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Assist with testing G-Invoicing workflows and presenting outcomes to project stakeholders.
  • Review and comment on system requirements and documentation.
  • Coordinate with trading partners to confirm readiness for FY26 General Terms and Conditions (GT&Cs) and Order processing.
  • Manage the G-Invoicing mailbox and update the Customer Response Tracker.
  • Create GT&Cs and Orders in G-Invoicing Production for approved partners.
  • Develop internal SOPs and external presentation materials.
  • Maintain trackers that align Orders with contract values.
  • Reconcile contract values between multiple financial systems to ensure data accuracy.
  • Prepare Federal Financial Management System (FFMS) upload templates and track financial data accurately.
  • Generate and manage contract numbers using internal tools.
  • Collaborate with other Revenue team members on the G-Invoicing transition.
  • Support weekly meetings with implementation teams to identify system and process needs.


COMPENSATION:As required by applicable law, St. Michael's Inc. provides reasonable pay ranges for positions based on labor market conditions in locations where compensation transparency is required. The base pay range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. Final compensation may vary depending on geographic location, relevant skills, experience, and other job-related factors. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, based on company and individual performance.

This is a 1099 contract role, offered on a temporary basis and expected to run for approximately 12 weeks.
